| IMO
remote |
3 button handlebar mounted switches for scrolling
through the screens. |
Changed from three to five button so they are
closer to hand. |
Still in use. |
| Touratech HID light |
- |
To see if it is really that good. It is.
An amazingly bright, white light. It makes the standard ones (which
are very good for a bike) look really weedy. |
Two now fitted. In case one stops working. |
| Second Cooling Fan |
- |
Swampy
added a second one. |
Still in use. |
| Manual Fan switch |
- |
Only fitted after the thermostat (and a new
replacement) wouldn't work. |
Still in use, but with a red indicator light
to show when the fans are on. |
| Heated
grips |
Wonderful, as I have poor circulation in my
fingers. |
Same again. |
Still in use. |
| Poor
fuel ICU |
The LC4 is a high compression engine. This retards
the ignition for dodgy fuel. The switch is mounted on the dashboard
so the setting is visible. I locked it on the 'poor' setting with
a small length of fuel pipe because other hands kept pushing it in
to the high octane setting. |
Now comes as standard. Switch added to dashboard. |
Still in use. |
| 12v
power socket |
For charging the Sat phone. Ensure the positive
and negative leads are the right way round. |
Now comes as standard. I never used my old one
so I removed it. |
- |
| Air
horns |
Much
louder than the weedy original. Two compressors mounted behind the
fairing feeding one horn each on the outside. The horns fell off when
fixed to the front mudguard after the first bit of dirt road. |
A must have.
The location of the compressors changed to under the rear wheel arch
where the toolkit used to be.
Difficult to work on when they stopped working.
|
The horns are now mounted to the fairing frame
beside the front forks. |
| Brake Light |
- |
'Normal' sized LED brake light. |
LED light wasn't reliable so used the original
'last for one week bulbs'. |
| Touratech
Rear LED brake lights |
Never have to worry if your brake light or side
light has died, but check it regularly anyway. |
Touratech's as back up. |
Still in use.
Never failed - to date. |
