The caves were slightly spooky. First of all you had to walk past a collection of skulls and then past the bats squeaking and poohing above.

The rock formations were extraordinary and definitely looked like something from Star Trek or Doctor Who. I wouldn’t have been surprised if one of them had started to move towards me. I decided the best thing to do was always keep someone else between me and ‘the thing’.

I only realised how many stalactites and stalagmites there were there after I processed these photos. It was frustrating that I only had my weedy head torch rather than a decent Maglite.
