I’ve been reading several books on evolution in anticipation of my trip to the Galapagos Islands in a few days time. This has set my mind going as to how the various species of traveller have evolved and what the main characteristics of each are as an aid to identification in the field.

I set out my preliminary findings in order to prove prior publication. This will avoid any subsequent claims of foul play as associated with Mr Darwin and his very suspect treatment of Alfred Wallace.

Naturally, there are many varieties within each specie and each form is continuously evolving in response to perceived threats and errant DNA.
